Charlie and I want to say Thank you to Tim and Renee of Lake Pan and also to Don of Scootergoods.

Last year, in September we had a wreck on our motorcycle because an older man was not looking at the road and pulled out in front of us.

I was pretty much ok, but Charlie had to be airlifted to St. Joseph's hospital in Tampa. He had a lot of trauma, both from the actual way he hit the car and when I slammed into him from behind.

When I could think straight again, and knew that Charlie would be ok, my first thought was to get the word out. I wanted everyone to know we had been yet another victim of a cager. I contacted Don, from Scootergoods to let him know what had happened.

Don, sweetheart and great guy that he is, let Tim know and he contacted us to see if there was anything he could do. Tim kept in contact with Charlie and I throughout everything and I knew that whatever I needed, I could talk to either he or Renee and they'd find a way to help.

In November, Tim scheduled a benefit run for us that ended up at the IRRC social club. Some of our friends came and got us and took us out to see everyone who had attended. Though the turnout was light, we had a great time and it felt very good to be back out in our comunity again.

It's now February and we are finally able to get back out and ride again. We have replaced the bike that was totaled in the accident, and though Charlie still has some physical issues to work on with his shoulder, we're pretty much us again and you'll be seeing us out and about. The coffee runs have begun again (lol) and when the weekends come, we're usually doing something. We're planning to go on Jesse's Run next weekend and the last day of Daytona bike week in March.

So if you see us out at one of the Circle K's in the area, stop and  say Hi or just wave as you go by!

Thank you, Tim, for all you did for us. We know who to turn to if we need something or need to get word out about anything that concerns the biker community.

Don, we'll see you out and about and when we do, I owe you a HUGE hug or putting us in touch with Tim, Renee, Lake Pan and the Jim Collins fund!

Lil B.
